How do I get the exact same layout/appearance as what you have in your "Rotator Blog" demo ?

Hi There !

This component is impressive, however I would like mine to look just like you have it:

http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/rotator/examples/livexml/defaultcs.aspx

...I installed it as per the instruction on the page/link above, and it's running, but the data is scrolling with no pretty container around it (or the cool date/time color-stamps). I then applied the skins to it through the compnent properties pane, and ran the page in my .Net application again, but the blog data is still scrolling without any frame around it.

Any suggestions ? - at the endof the day, if I could get it to look like yours, it would be a happy day :-)

Cheers,

Bazz

Hi Bazz!  I'm exactly where you were.  Could you share some insight on how you figured it out?  I've been on this site now for an hour and still can't get it "pretty".

Thanks,
TL

Hi Terri-Lynn,

Could you, please, specify what exactly may be going wrong? Did you follow the instructions for isolating the demo? Please, make sure that you have the custom CSS of the demo on your page as well.
Otherwise I should advise you to attach the setup that you have isolated from the demo so that I can see what exactly may be missing.

Hope this helps.

All the best,

To get it to look exactly like the Telerik demo I had to view source their code, and follow the pathing to the images involved in their demo.

http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/rotator/examples/livexml/defaultcs.aspx

...view source the page...look for things like:

<

a href='' style="cursor: pointer; text-decoration: none;

color: Black; background-image: url('IMAGES/Monday.png');"></

a>

...which translates into: http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/rotator/examples/livexml/IMAGES/Monday.png

..do that for all 7 days of the week :-) and make sure your saved images are in the correct local path for the control.
