How do I enable unbound CheckboxColumn for editing?

Have a grid bound to a list of email-addresses. I need to add a column where I can select wich ones to delete ...
Then I need to walk though the rows to see wich mails to process ...

Also want checkbox enabled only when I click it not the row. Click on row opens up a popup-window with cust-info. Any way this can be disabled?
