How can I change the Type of a RadNumericTextbox on clientside?

Does anyone know how I can change the Type for the RadNumericTextBox on the clientside?  I have a textbox that is defaulted to a Percent and need to switch between Percent and Currency.  I have a checkbox that the user selectes to switch between Percent and Currency.
