I'm styling my grids with a modified version of the Hay skin files.

My boss has now decided he wants vertical grid lines. I've tried just setting the GridLines property on the grid itself but that has had no impact; I assume that this is because of the fact that I'm using an external CSS file.

Which bit of the skin's CSS file should I alter to get the most consistent looking vertical lines for both the grid rows and the header?

Hi Stuart,

GridLines will not have any effect, you have set in your skin

border: 0;  ( or border: none; )

for the normal and alternating row cells, and header cells. Otherwise, GridLines works as expected (as far as I can see).

Since you are using a custom skin, I strongly recommend putting some border styles in the skin, rather than setting GridLines - in my humble opinion using GridLines is an obsolete styling technique and should be avoided (and the gridlines themselves don't look good either).
