Hi,  Ive been trying to get the File Explorer to work for a while and it hasn't been showing any files at all,  just folders

I found that the Demo's online and on my local machine don't show any files in Firefox but they do show files in explorer.  In the demo's on my local machine the files are there.  The online demo and my implementation works in explorer.

Ive tried firefox 3.07 on vista and 3.07 on windows xp

The other demo's work except for the File Selector Dialog demo,  this is the one im using to use the file selector dialog with my rad grid to replace the old way of doing it.
Open in firefox

Any Thoughts?

Hi,  This also doesn't show the files in the right pane on the IE 8 version from today.

If you put IE 8 in compatibility mode then the files do show up correctly.

Thanks

Hi SonicImaging,

Thank you for reporting this. We are currently working on correcting such IE8 reported problems. There is a Service Pack planned for the end of next week which targets IE8 compatibility.

Kind regards,

Hello guys,

The problem with Firefox sometimes not showing the files has been fixed and the fix will be included in the service pack release Tervel talked about earlier. If you want a fixed build now, you can download the latest internal one (version 2009.1.324) from this page: http://www.telerik.com/account/downloads/internal-builds.aspx

Chrome also does not display the files. Folders only. Files upload just fine, and are on the server, in the control.

Hello Zi,

The problem in Chrome seems to be the same as in Firefox, so it should be fixed in the latest internal build and the upcoming service pack release.

Best wishes,

I had a problem with the files not showing in the control... I didn't have a skin defined. I added a skin and it started showing the files. Not sure if it's the same problem, but it seems to be a bug.

Hi Jeff,

There was a problem with RadAjaxLoadingPanel when no skin is set (and this control is a part of the RadFileExplorer control). The problem was fixed in the just released Q1 2009 SP1, and I invite you to give it a try, because in this release there are a number of fixes and improvements related to RadFileExplorer.

Sincerely yours,
