The new "Social Share" feature is a great feature and thank you for this. I think the next step for Telerik, is to provide a control that we can allow user to authenticate via their FB or Twitter or Google+ account.
Instead of each one of us writing the API code to these three social network, it would be best to be part of a control.

It's also very important for Telerik to provide events and methods/properties that when a person is logged in successfully, then we can retrieve the available attributes that FB or Twitter or Google+ provides from their account (at least name and Email address). This is important, because in many cases (for example), I need to create that person into the ASP.Net membership system and I also create a series of other tables to extend that user (i.e. Profile, settings, privacy setting and etc.) as part of my system. So, just authenticating them is not enough, but to be able to get access to the their attributes (of course this is with their "Allow" permission).

Love to hear comments on this!
Thank you in advance!

Hi Ben,

Thank you for the good words, we are very glad to hear that you like the RadSocialShare control!

As to your question, we are not planning to add the functionality you ask for to the RadSocialShare control and even if we do in future, this should not be part of the social share control since because such functionality is out of the scope of this control and we want to keep its initial design and specification. However, we could consider implementing such features most probably in a completely new control if we gather many customers' requests about that. I cannot tell whether this will be done since it depends on how many requests we have and also on already set priorities. For the tie being you could use the social networks API to accomplish what you need.

Thank you once again for your feedback and request, I logged it in our database and it will be taken into consideration along with other requests we receive when we decide what to implement next.

Thank you Svetina for detail info. Yes, I meant as a "new" control, since this social dealing is increasing now, and Telerik has the best and most complete set of controls for ASP.Net

Hope this gets more votes!
Thank you again.
