hiya,
I asked this a while ago and was told that it was in the pipeline.
Does prometheus yet give the ability to display a fading window, (that informs a users eg that they databse has been updated successfully?)
It would be similar to the fading popup that appears in the bottom right hand side of the screen when a new email is recieved in outlook.
many thanks,
yogi

Hi yogi,
Yes, this is now possible and you can find detailed information and a demo which shows the desired behavior and appearance in this here.
Please, make sure that you are using the latest .dll - version 2007.3 1425. We hope that you will enjoy this RadToolTip's improvement.

Is it possible to stop the tooltip from fading out when you mouseover it like Outlook notifications?

Hi John,
This is not possible for the time being but it turns out to be a nice feature and we will log it in our system as a feature request.
Thank you for your cooperation, it is highly appreciated.

Thanks Svetlina, hope it makes it in.
On a related note, can you tell me if it is possible to control the time taken for the fade out, I would like a more gradual fade out than the current default. If not, would it be possible to add this as a feature request?
Thanks
John

Hello John,
Currently you cannot modify the animations - I logged this feature for future consideration as well.
Your points were updated.

Thanks Georgi, one more thing : Is it possible to have the close button displayed but still have the tooltip automatically fade out? I'd like the users to be able to cancel the notification or just let it fade out. Usign set_manualClose shows the X button but stops the tooltip from hiding automatically.
Thanks,
John.
Thanks,
John.

I am afraid this is not possible - the X button is rendered only if ManualClose is set to true. You can try however to change the appearance of the tooltip and to put a custom closing button which when clicked will call the hide() method for that tooltip.
