Hello, I had a Master Child Grid working fine in Prometheus Beta and once I added the new DLL for Q1 2008 the Plus Minus buttons disappeared. I am using a custom theme and Skin file and have tried every setting Expand-Collapse setting in the grid to try and set the image url's but it doesn't seem to work. I was able to edit a little bit with the column in the style sheet using this.

.RadGrid_Systema

.rgExpand,

.RadGrid_Systema

.rgCollapse,

But I can't find a way to otherwise edit these Expand-Collapse Columns that will take effect. Please help. Thanks.

Hello Rory,

When you are using a custom skin, please set EnableEmbeddedSkins="true", and make sure you specify a valid images path, so that the control can resolve the images it needs.

When using a custom skin and setting the EnableEmbeddedSkins="true", I get an error:

Telerik.Web.UI.RadGrid with ID='g' was unable to find embedded skin with name 'Custom'. Please, make sure that you spelled the skin name correctly, or if you want to use a custom skin, set EnableEmbeddedSkins=false.

Do we have to use a specific name for our skin?  It seems like your suggestion is contradicting the suggestion in the error message.

All other images work fine in my grid.  Only the ExpandImage and CollapseImage are missing.

Hi sypher,

I am sorry for a previous omission. If you would like to use a custom skin, you need to:

  1. Disable the default/embedded skin(s), by setting EnableEmbeddedSkins="false".
  2. Then, you need to specify the skin which you want to use.
  3. Additional information on the suggested approach, you can see in the following article.

I hope this information helps.
