Error While Installing New Version for Telerik AJAX ASP.NET

Hi,
   I have downloaded the latest version (i.e, RadControlsForAspNetAjaxSetup_2011_3_1116.exe). Once I started installing it on my machine it suddenly failed in between extracting the dlls.
   For your information, I already have RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX Q2 2011 SP1 on my machine.
   Please find the attached snapshot for the same. Hope that could give you some information regarding the crash.
   Please let me know once this issue has been resolved. So that, I can upgrade to latest version.

Hello Yogesh,

Thank you for contacting us.

Let me tell you how the executable you have downloaded works. It performs the following steps:
  1. Checks if you have the required .NET Framework installed
  2. Extracts its content in the temp folder
  3. Starts the installer

I guess the the problem occurred when the the bootstrapper tried to run the installer.

Could you please search in your %temp% folder for Telerik.CommonInstaller.UI.exe and (if it exists) try to run it manually?

Additionally, it would be very helpful for us if you choose the 'Debug' option and send us a bit more details (e.g. exception type, stack trace, message).

Hello Chavdar,
 I have .NET framework 4.0 installed on my machine.
 I followed the following steps to install :
  1. Run the RadControlsForAspNetAjaxSetup_2011_3_1116.exe. -- Resulted into crash in application.
  2. Go to %Temp% folder.
  3. Run the "Telerik.CommonInstaller.UI.exe" manually. -- Caused Access error.
  4. Copy the complete folder from Temp folder to another location.
  5. Re-run the "Telerik.CommonInstaller.UI.exe". -- Resulted into the same access error.
    Please find the attached error snapshot. Hope that could help you out.
      Also, Please let me how to run that executable using debug mode so that I could send you more details.

Hi Yogesh,

Thank you for the update.

It seems that the application doesn't crash, but is blocked by something. It can't be debugged, since it can't be started. I guess the problem can be reproduced only in the current state of your machine (we haven't experienced such a problem before), so I will need some more help from your side in order to get this solved.

After some research I found out that there are several Anti Virus programs that can cause such an error. Could you please try again with your Anti Virus program turned off, if you use one?

Another thing you can try is to reboot the machine and then run the Telerik.CommonInstaller.UI.exe again.

Let me know if any of the above mentioned suggestions worked.

Hello Chavdar,
 the both of your suggestions didn't solve my issue.

 I firstly disabled my Anti-virus program and checked if it working or not. But it failed quoting the same error. Then I restarted my machine and then I tried but this time also I was not on the good side. Then I disabled my anti virus again and re-tried to install. But, the error was same.
 Is there be any other way or another link so that I could directly download the self extractor msi or executable so that I could just install it on my machine and start working rather than depending on this boot-strapper. Because I want to quickly start off to my work.
