You should not experience such issues with the latest released version - 2009 Q1 SP1 (file version 2009.1.402.xx).
Please, download it and give it a try. We always recommend using the latest version of the controls so you are able to take advantage of the new features and bugfixes.

Your version of assemblies 2009 Q1 SP1- is actually 2009.1.402.xx, (where 'xx' stands for .net version - 20 for 2.0 and 3.0, and 35 for .net version 3.5).
You can view the version of the assemblies you are using with the right button of the mouse -> properties -> version. For the assemblies, which are already installed in the GAC the version is displayed by default when viewing the list of installed assemblies. If the version column is not displayed, you can point to View -> Add/Remove Columns to add the "Version" column in the .NET Framework Configuration window.
Note, that you if you have upgraded from RadControls 2009 Q1 (no SP), you need to update the Telerik.Web.Design assembly too. RadControls setup program installs two versions
of the Telerik.Web.Design assembly in the GAC - one for .net 2.0 and
another for .net 3.5. You need to replace these assemblies. If you use Telerik.Web.Design assembly from the local Bin folder -- be sure to update it there. You can
find the new assemblies in the corresponding bin/bin35 folders in the archive you have downloaded.
