If I configure the paths like this:

<DocumentManager ViewPaths="~/content/uploads" UploadPaths="~/content/uploads" DeletePaths="~/content/uploads" MaxUploadFileSize="10485760" />

As soon as I click on the document manager I see the contents of "content/uploads" but if I try to upload something I get this message:

"A file with a name same as the target already exists and you have chosen not to overwrite it!"

To overcome this, before uploading, I have to click on refresh, which takes me back one folder, enter the uploads folder and then upload -- and then it will work.

Peter.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the bug report - I logged it in our ToDo list and we will do our best to have it fixed for one of the future updates of the control.

Please prioritize this.  I've just experienced the same problem, which manifested somewhat differently.  I was getting the message that I didn't have access to the folder, which it was saying was the root wwwroot folder (even though I was operating in a sub-web.  This was misleading and confusing.

I tried the solution here to refresh, re-enter the folder, and try again, and that worked.

Thank you.

That is because even though the folder is specified without the "refresh trick" it will try to upload to the root. I had to tell my clients to make sure to press refresh before and change the security on the root folder to prevent / deny writes. This will work while we're in beta, but not for long. I'm hoping it will be fixed in Q1 :-)

Hi guys,

Have you tested by any chance the "Futures" build of RadControls "Prometheus", in which the upload problem should not exist?

The official build of RadControls "Prometheus" that we will release today will include this fix too.

I've been avoiding futures builds.  I'm already using beta code in production, so I thought I would avoid betas of betas.

Ummmmm...  What happened to "today"?

Hi Barry,

Please, excuse us for the delay. By the end of the business day here in Bulgaria all Client.net accounts and info on the website will be updated so that you can enjoy the Q1 release.

The online examples of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX (formerly "Prometheus") are already uploaded and ready for test.
