Who would I do visual editing of a template for a RadControl embedded within a user control?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Edison,

In case the corresponding RadControl has 'Edit Templates' option in his Smart tag or through its Visual Studio property builder, you should be able to edit its templates from design-time regardless whether the control resides inside a web form, an user control or a master page.

Hello Sebastian,

How would I access the menu 'Edit template' if the RadControl (RadListView) is embedded within a user control and in this case the RadControl is not available to the end user

Thanks again.

Hi Edison,

The 'Edit Templates' option would be available for the developer who uses RadListView inside an user control (form the user control itself, not from the main form where it can be added).

The end user will not be able to define the templates in the listview - as an alternative you can show/hide different listviews as illustrated on this example.

Best regards,
