Hello,
I have a question about the work of the RadEditor with an element of "Select", which you can choose from one of the RadEditor toolbox.
On the form located RadEditor with the ability to upload custom templates in the mode of Design. A template is the text and tables, some of the columns which are drop-down list, or more precisely an element of "Select"
<select style="width: 100px; height: 22px;"> </ select>
When the user clicks on the element he chooses it.
Can I do that he chose not an element but its value from the dropdown list as its done in Word or in Preview mode? Is it possible?

Thanks,
Victor.

Hi,

Please try the custom dialog solution provided in the following forum thread:
Editing <select> element properties.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply but this is not exactly what I mean. I will try to to explain in more detail .
1) Is there a form with an integrated element of RadEditor in Design mode.
2) The user loads a html-template with element <Select> inside (it is already filled with values)
3) When a user attempts to select the value he can not do it at once, it selects the whole element!
If you upload the same template in Word, everything works correctly, the user selects a value, not the whole <Select> element .

Is it possible to do so in the RadEditor user chooses a value of <Select> element, not the whole <Select> element for move or resize?

Regards,
Victor.

Hi Victor,

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

The content area of RadEditor is an editable IFRAME element, which uses the Rich Text Editing engine of the browser under which it resides. This is a browser behavior of Internet Explorer, which can be reproduced in the attached HTML page having an editable IFRAME in it. Here is a video test: http://screencast.com/t/azLnyCcW.

In Firefox the Select and some of the Input elements are not selectable at all in the editable IFRAME / DIV elements.

If you find a solution for the standard editable IFRAME element, please send us the code and we will integrate it in RadEditor.

Kind regards,
Rumen
