I am getting a design time error with a radgrid inside a Dockable Object saying there is an error rendering the control.

The grid does not display at run time.

Hello Rick Pittser,

Please, give us more details on the matter. What kind of grid control do you use - asp GridView or Telerik's RadGrid or something else? When do you receive the error you mention - when you are at design time and drag and drop a grid control from the toolbox or you add the grid in the source view or from code-behind and when you switch to design time the error appears? What do you observe when you run the page?
Currently, the RadDock for ASP.NET AJAX experiences a problem with the ContentTemplate tag at design time and this could be the reason for the error you observe. When any control is drag/dropped in the dock's content container at design time the closing ContentTemplate tag disappears. This is a known issue which has been added in our TODO list and you can also find it in a note in the Getting Started help article.

All the best,

I'm using ASP.NET 1.1 Controls.  I place the RadDock Object on the page and then drag a grid control into it.

RadGrid 4.0.3.0
RadDock 1.6.3.0

RadDock works fine with other controls and RadGrid works fine by itself.  The error in design time is "There was an error rendering the RadDockableObject control:" and then a lot of system.web.httpexception errors.  I can email or post a jpg of it, but don't see a way to do it here.

At runtime the control just does not rendor, but no error.

I saw a post in forums which says that there are some design-time problems in RadDock for ASP.NET,  but in runtime everything should be ok. As far as I know the RadDock for ASP.NET development is stopped and all new development is concentrated on RadDock for ASP.NET AJAX.
