I'm not sure why I'm being so dense about this, but I'm having trouble deploying my website to my server. I'm new to AJAX and working on the server side to get sites deployed.

I'm using VS 2005 and the AJAX controls for UPLOAD and Progress Manager, etc. (.NET 2.0)  I'm hoping that I can include everything in the BIN and not have to alter the GAC. So I upload everything and I get this immediate error on the site. I also have tried to install the DLLs on the server but I don't have the utility that comes with the .net sdk and doing it manually didn't work.

Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Hi Vincent,

The error you shared means that System.Web.Extensions can't be found. Try to add reference to the assembly and make sure your project (website/webapplication) is AJAX-enabled.

Please find more information about this error in the following links:
