We need to upgrade our existing Telerik.Web.UI.dll to the latest release because IE9 users get 'undefined' when clicking on the radbuttons and the new Telerik.Web.UI.dll seems to take care of that issue. The last time we deployed a new Telerik.Web.UI.dll to our production servers, every customer had to clear their cookies/cache before they were able to use our site properly. We would like to avoid the disruption to our site, not to mention the thousands of calls to our technical support line. Is there a way to avoid this? What is the proper way to deploy the new Telerik.Web.UI.dll?

It is strange that you experienced issues with the previous controls update on the production server and your clients needed to clear their cookies/cache. Basically, simple X-Copy deployment should be sufficient (see this topic for details about deployment on shared hosting).
Can it be that you have some kind of caching on your server which needs to be invalidated in order to use the new assemblies? Let us know your findings.

Generally speaking, there are two common methods to upgrade our AJAX controls to another version or license:
- Using the VS Extensions Automated Latest version retrieval and Upgrade wizards
- Manual upgrade by following the steps from this documentation topic
