Recently upgraded to build 1314, but I have been having issues with Skins for the Date and Time pickers in 1310 as well.
I have a theme setup for the application and when I set EnableEmbeddedSkins = false for the date and time pickers the image shows as a red x, when I set this to true it displays fine.
In the 1310 release even with EnableEmbeddedSkins set to true I was able to style the input textbox for the date picker with borders, font size, etc. In 1314 whether it is true or false it doesn't take any custom css settings.
Can someone give me some guidance on how to style the input boxes for the date and time pickers? Most of the documentation I have read talks about the calendar and not the pickers.
Thanks for the help,
Greg

Hello Greg,
I believe that the information from the following forum post can help you style the picker's input and pop-up buttons when using custom skin and define UseEmbeddedSkins = false:

Hi Greg,
When you choose the UseEmbeddedSkins = false setting your options are either to create a custom skin/theme with which to style your date picker control:
http://www.telerik.com/help/radcontrols/prometheus/?CreateCustomSkin.html
http://www.telerik.com/help/radcontrols/prometheus/?ThemesHowTo.html
or apply individual css styles to define the look and feel of the date input and the calendar in the pop-up:

Thanks for the links Stephen, unfortunately when I open the last two and click on any of the links on those pages I get a 404 Page cannot be found error.
I think most of my confusion with this is that I can't figure out what control I am trying to style, is it part of the calendar or part of rad input. I have a theme that I have created and I have added references to the Calendar and date picker. I just can't figure out what css class to change and in which file is it the Calendar.Default.css or Input.Default.css?

Hi Greg,
I tested the links from my previous post and they seem to be correctly defined. Can you please try to access them again? They contain the information you are searching for.

The links still aren't working for me. This is where it is trying to go: http://www.telerik.com/help/radcontrols/prometheus/RadInput~Telerik.WebControls.RadInputControl~EnabledStyle.html. Is this correct?

Hi Greg,
Indeed you are right. The links are not valid for the Prometheus help and we've just changed them (the changes will be applied in the Q3 SP2 release). You can see the info for the appearance properties from this help article (Classic controls) or search for them in the Prometheus help through the Index (see attached screenshot).
Kind regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,
I've checked those links a couple of times over the last few days and they still aren't working. Has the online help been updated for SP2 yet? If it has and they still aren't working can you send me a working chm or something?
Also, I'm still unclear if these classes go in the Calendar css or the input css, not sure if that is covered by the links.

Hi Greg,
The topics have already been updated and the new version of the article regarding the input styles can be found here:
http://www.telerik.com/help/radcontrols/prometheus/?input_AppearanceStyles.html
If you want to download the chm version of the RadControls Prometheus help, you can do that from this link.

Steve,
Thanks that helps, I was able to get it styled mostly the way that I want.
The only issue that I have left is for the date picker, there is no border between the textbox and the img. Even though the border is specified for all four sides in the css.
Any suggestions?
Greg

Hello Greg,
Which skin are you using and what styles have you changed explicitly? Did you add/change any padding or margins in the datepicker css? It would be great if we can view a sample page. You can attach it to one of the free image sites or open a support ticket with reference to this forum and attach it there.
Thank you for the cooperation.
