I'm wondering if there is a way to control where on a bar chart the y data point is displayed.  For most bars, the value is displayed just past the end of the bar, but here and there the value displays within the bar.  Also, every now and then, a value is displayed partially below the bar.  What properties are available to control where the data point displays?

Hello Martin,

By default the label is displayed on the top of the bar. However, the label cannot be displayed outside the plot area, so if the bar is close to the top border, the label might be partially or entirely inside the bar. You can control the label location using the series.Appearance.LabelAppearance.LabelLocation and series.Appearance.LabelAppearance.Position.AlignedPosition as shown in the attached screenshot.

Hope this helps.

These properties are what I was looking for.  However, at times I still get a bar or two where the value displays on the bar, slightly below the bar, or not at all.  These are for bars where the y value is in the middle of the range.  I believe a problem exists within the control.

Hi Martin,

Can you send us a sample which shows this issue, so we can investigate it? You can open a formal support ticket and attach the project / web site there. Thanks.
