Hi!

Is there a way to change the extension of the Exported excel file of the radgrid programmatically?  

I want to change the extension to .xml to avoid the problem described in:

http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet/grid/grdexport.html

Is there a way to do it? if i change the extension, am i going to keep the compatibility with previous versions of excel (like 2003)?

Hi Diego,

A new feature has been added to RadGrid, allowing to specify a file extension (xsl or xslx) in the Excel export settings. The feature will be available for Q2 release of RadControls of ASP.NET AJAX, expected in the middle of the next week. However, changing the extension of the exported document to .xml is not possible.

To test it beforehand use the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX Q2 2008 Futures release which has been announced a couple of weeks ago:
