Change Pager Button Count changes Pager Text Format

I'm trying to change the PagerStyle-PageButtonCount but when I do it defaults my PagerStyle-PagerTextFormat which is set to  Change page: {4} &nbsp;Page <strong>{0}</strong> of <strong>{1}</strong>, items <strong>{2}</strong> to <strong>{3}</strong> of <strong>{5}</strong>.  How can I do this without it changing my PagerTextFormat?

I tried the same scenario in this version 2011.1.315.35 and it worked as expected. I suppose it might be a version issue.
Please check the attached image as well.

Thanks for getting back to me.  It probably would have been helpful if I mentioned that this problem only occurs when I have 10+ pages in the pager.  I attached images for the issues in ie7/ie8/chrome if it helps.  I could try to set the Pager Button Count in the cs, how would I do that?

EDIT: I just realized that I was trying to change the pager button count on the MasterTableView and not the RadGrid.  I can now display all pager controls on 1 line with a few css tweaks for cross-browser compatibility
