I am in a shared hosted environment (Discount ASP) that runs IIS 7.0 with an integrated application pool mode and I am having trouble getting the RadUpload control and progress area to work.  The host has said they they cannot perform the changes to the C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config file as indicated at the link below and as it is a shared hosting environment.

http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/configuration-radupload-httpmodule-registration-in-iis7.html

Host will not do the following:

Open the file C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config and find the line:

<section name="requestFiltering" overrideModeDefault="Deny" />

Set the overrideModeDefaultproperty to Allow. So now the line should look like:

<section name="requestFiltering" overrideModeDefault="Allow" />

When I try to use the RadProgressArea for a custom progress bar (no upload is involved, it only tracks a process). I receive an error.

RadUpload Ajax callback error. Source url was not found:

            Telerik.RadUploadProgressHandler.ashx?RadUrid=63d4f5ee-2777-4728-9467-bb7fbf5ca5e5

Did you register the RadUploadProgressHandler in web.config?

Please, see the help for more details: RadUpload for ASP.NET Ajax – Configuration – RadUploadProgressHandler.

Are the settings related to using the RadProgressArea (eventually I will also use the upload) in my Web.Config correct (you may need to copy and paste it as some of the commented out sections may render incorrectly in the post)?

Hi,

Is there any reason that two clientside AJAX requests might clash?

original code;
AjaxPanel1.AjaxRequest("1");
AjaxPanel2.AjaxRequest("2");

If the second request is initiated before the first one has finished the first request does not update the page, eg. I have a panelbar in the first AJAX panel and a tree in the second.  I have set break points in the code and can see that the appropriate code is being run but which ever is called first does not return the updates.

If I add a delay then my code works correctly.

with delay;
AjaxPanel1.AjaxRequest("1");
setTimeout("AjaxPanel2.AjaxRequest('2');",1000);

I have also tested this with a delay on both calls (the same duration) and this doesn't work.

I don't want to have to delay one call like this because the length of the delay will be different depending on the situation, internet connection type etc...

I have a RadGrid that binds to an ObjectDataSource.  In its MasterTableView Columns, there is a column that has a GridHyperLinkColumn that has 3 DataNavigateUrlFields.  In Q2, the column seemed to work fine if there was a null parameter.  In Q3, this causes a runtime error.  Is this a functionality change, or have I missed something?

<telerik:RadGrid runat="server" ID="grdCarLst" Width="100%" DataSourceID="objCarLst"
    EnableEmbeddedSkins="false" AllowSorting="false">
    <MasterTableView Width="100%" AutoGenerateColumns="false" DataSourceID="objCarLst"
        AllowSorting="false">
        <NoRecordsTemplate>
            No vehicles matched your search criteria.
        </NoRecordsTemplate>
        <Columns>
            <telerik:GridHyperLinkColumn DataNavigateUrlFields="Parm1,Parm2,Parm3" Text="Details"
                DataNavigateUrlFormatString="~/Used-Cars/Used-Car-Details.aspx?one={0}&two={1}&three={2}">
        </Columns>
    </MasterTableView>
</telerik:RadGrid>

For our purposes:

Parm1 string - never null
Parm2 byte
Parm3 string - occasionally null

Dev Environment: Windows Vista Home Ed.
Server: Windows Server 2008
Telerik.Web.UI.dll Version=2008.03.1105.35

PS
I think the new site design looks great!

I am trying to find, given a GridDataItem the index of the DataRow in the DataTable it was bound from.

I thought DataSetIndex looked like the answer but it seems to return the index of the row in the GridView and not the index in the original DataTable i.e. if the user has sorted the grid it references the wrong DataRow.

What am I doing wrong?

I cannot keep the text from wrapping when a group is collapsed. As I open the 2 groups the text expands in the first group and as I close the groups it starts to wrap.
I have searched and tried everything I could think of but to no avail.
I am sure it is something simple.

Below is the code from the grouping portion of the grid markup:
<GroupByExpressions>
<radG:GridGroupByExpression>
<SelectFields>
<radG:GridGroupByField FieldAlias="billboard" FieldName="billboard" HeaderText=" " HeaderValueSeparator="" />
</SelectFields>
<GroupByFields>
<radG:GridGroupByField FieldAlias="billboard" FieldName="billboard" FormatString="" />
</GroupByFields>
</radG:GridGroupByExpression>
<radG:GridGroupByExpression>
<SelectFields>
<radG:GridGroupByField FieldAlias="Slotname" FieldName="SlotName" HeaderText=" " HeaderValueSeparator="" />
</SelectFields>
<GroupByFields>
<radG:GridGroupByField FieldAlias="Slotnumber" FieldName="Slotnumber" FormatString="" />
</GroupByFields>
</radG:GridGroupByExpression>
</GroupByExpressions>
<GroupHeaderItemStyle Wrap="False" />

Do you guys have any recent examples of how to use the TabStrip as a menu? I ran across this but it appears to use your old framework:
http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/aspnet/tabstrip/help-needed-using-tabstrip-for-a-menu.aspx

I'm basically trying to keep the look of the tabstrip control, but having it drop down as a menu over the page content when clicking on the tab, and then having it retract after something is clicked or focus is lost. I tried using the RadMenu itemtemplates... but this would be a ton of extra work for me since I already have the tab control converted to a custom skin and looking exactly how I need it to. After seeing the above example I am hopeful that their might be an easier solution?

Thanks,
Levi

I am using the RadGrid's ConfirmText property on a GridButtonColumn to show a "are you sure you wish to delete this?" type of message. I am wanting to give the message some HTML and a new line to give more prominence to it. Is this possible?

I have seen similar issue in this forum, but none of them are working for me.

For my situation, everything was working fine locally, errors happened only on the server. I am using Q3 2008, Telerik.Web.UI.dll version is 2008.3.1016.35. Noticed that ASP.NET Version on server is 2.0, not sure whether that's the reason.
