I have several questions, and can't seem to find any documentation:

1) You say the XmlHttpPanel isn't universal - so when can't it be used, vs. Telerik Ajax?
2) Are there other examples beyond the Demos of how to use it?

For instance - I have an application with shows a record, and then undernead it a set of tab. Each tab hasa RadGrid with related items. In this case, the record is an Individual, and the tabs are Invoices, Payments, Registrations, Refunds. I'd like when the tab gets clicked, to have the panel dynamically populate the RadGrid using a WebService call.

is this possible using XmlHttpPanel?

RAD Grid client-side properties

Hi,

I'm in the process of upgrading RAD Controls Q3 2007 version to Q2 2009 version. While accessing get_masterTableView().rows property, I am getting the following error here:

Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'get_masterTableView().rows.length' is null or not an object

Here is my code block: (in which some properties might refer to older version of the telerik control)

Doubt in FilterExpression

Hi,

From my radgrid I want to search a record(s) between two dates. I got the date from RadDatePicker and using the FilterExpression I hav done some other searches like less than EndDate and greater than StartDate. Now I want to search a records between Start date and End Date. I cannot apply Between in Filter Expression. How can I do this using FilterExpression??? Is ther any online help available???

Grouping by nested object

Hello !

for example my radgrid datasource is Product table , and every product is related to another table ProductType.

is it possible to group radgrid by product types?

i tryed this syntax :

<telerik:GridGroupByExpression>

<telerik:GridGroupByField FieldAlias="Type" FieldName="ProductType.Name"></telerik:GridGroupByField>

[Solved] Raddock position when pin

Hi guys,

I have the following issue when using a raddock control. I put the raddock control at the bottom of the page within a raddockzone. Once I load the page, I pick the control and move it to the top of the page. The problem appear when I pin the control, I don't know why the control is returning to the original location (at the bottom).
Something similar happens when I have scrolled in the "PinupUnpin + close" example (within "commands" example), If I scroll down and then I try to pin the control, it moves down the same "distance" I have scrolled
Does anyone knows what's going on here ?

radgrid staying in editetemtemplate after updata command

Hi,

We have a radgrid, the gird contains the template columns. In item command event i am updating the grid contro.
After updating the record it is not coming to the original view. the grid is still showinig the data in edit view i.e. all the edit item template controls (textbox,dropdownlist....) are still showing.

How can i show the grid in normal view after updation.

GridDateTimeColumn - no time when filtering

Hi,

I am using grid and one of columns has date and time in it - for example 18.12.2009 13:00. Problem is, that after I click sort icon the time part is automat. cut off and filters are working with 18.12.2009 instead.

But if I set PickerType="DateTimePicker" everything works, but 2 icons appear and I really need to hide those 2 icons (calendar + clock). Is it possible ? Thank you.

Detail tables not binding to correct LinqDataSources

Hi Telerik,

I'm trying to finish off an evaluation project and am having trouble with detail tables. The project has 2 detail tables under the master table - no big deal there.

However, when setting up controls on the second table's edit form template, the list of fields to bind to is for the master table and not the detail table. I tried going into the first detail table's edit form template, but the drop down list of fields is greyed out (even when I click refresh schema).

Is it a case that in a detail table you have to bind the fields by hand?

But icon for spell checker is not showing in rad editor.
However i add icon in Editortoolsfile.xml.

parsecontrol not handling html

I'm using a parsecontrol function (Controls.Add(ParseControls(string)); where string contains a definition of (amongst others) a RadEditor complete with a content-tag. My problem is that the html text inside the content tag is shown in the editor in design mode as html-code ( i'm only running the design mode). If i use the same content( the same html-text) and use radeditor1.Content = string in the pageload (where radeditor1 is an editor on the aspx file, so not dynamic generated), it is read as html and shown in the correct way (so bold text etc instead of the code <b> ).
How can i make the dynamically generated radeditors read the html-content correctly?
