Alternating Item getting selected incompletely

HI,
    I have found RadGrid extremely useful so far. But just one thing, my alternating style item is not getting selected completely while the normal items would get selected the way they should be. I am posting screenshots for more clarity..

Thanks I will try that out...just one more query....
I have another grid where I am not using any alternating Item style. But I am not able to view the horizontal grild lines. I tried applying item border. But again it is just showing borders for normal rows and alternate rows are without borders.

BTW i tried your solution for the partial selection for alternate rows. But it is still showing the same results..
Can you suggest any other workaroung.,

If the solution offered did not help, it would be better if you post the code that you use to configure your RadGrid control, so we can try identifying the cause of the issue with row selection on your side.
