Hi,
I've downloaded the RadEditor Lite edition for Sharepoint 2007.
I want to use the RadEditor for rich text field control in my custom .aspx page
I'm trying to use the MOSSRadEditor in my custom page as per the example given in the installation help file.

But I'm getting  the below error.
The type Telerik.Sharepoint.MOSSRadEditor has no cosntructors defined.

I want to use the RAD Editor in my custom .aspx page.
How should I proceed?

This is an urgent  requirement for me,..please do replay asap....

Hi Vijaya,

RadEditor for MOSS Lite is intended to replicate as closely as possible the functional level and user experience of the default rich-text editor in MOSS. As a result, the product is not designed to be customizable. Due to this you cannot achieve the desired behavior using the lite version. Please use the Full featured one.

In addition you can review the following help article:

Hi,
By full featured version, you mean that I should go for a licensed version of the product? Is in not a open source control?

Hi Vijaya,

None of the Telerik products is open source. We offer two versions of RadEditor for MOSS. The Lite Edition which you have already downloaded is available complimentary to all registered clients of Microsoft SharePoint 2007. The RadEditor Full Featured MOSS Edition is available as part of the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX suite. You can review the detailed comparison between the two editor editions here:
https://www.telerik.com/products/sharepoint/radeditor.aspx

If you are interested in purchasing the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX suite (which includes the RadEditor Full Featured MOSS Edition), you can opt for the Developer License, list price $799 or the Developer Subscription and Source Code License, list price $999. The latter is our value added proposition, which entitles you to a Gold Support Package, free product updates and new product releases for a period of one year. The RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX licenses are available for purchase from here: www.telerik.com/Purchase.

If there is anything else I can assist you with, please let me know.

Sincerely yours,
Fani

Hi,

According to an earlier post I found it should be possible to invoke an editor in a simple way: http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-tctak.aspx#476977

However, when I'm trying this approach on a customized Edit page I get the message "The type 'Telerik.SharePoint.MOSSEditor' has no constructors defined". I'm not trying to customize the editor, I just want to use it on a customized page instead of a InputFormTextBox with RichText="true".

Is it possible? Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Hi Toft,

I am not quite sure what your exact scenario is, but I believe that the following help articles will be of help:
Note that, the RadEditor for MOSS Lite is not designed to be customizable and cannot be used in custom MOSS solutions.

I hope this helps.
