A RadGrid example not using the SDS

I'm looking for A RadGrid example not using the SDS.  I have my own custom middle-tier that handles all of my data transactions.  Can someone point me to a good example?

Here is a code library submission which explains how to bind, perform Insert/Update/Delete operation in Grid manually. Go through it and see whether it is helpful.
