I know I am not the only one asking but now that Q1 is out, are you planning to support 3d chart in Q2? Also are you planning to add a funnel chart?
Very often development team works more on adding new features than improving the looks. In my opinion looks is very important and it's seem that the visual of telerik charting is a bit outdated compared to the competition, are you planning to work on improving it?

Hi Eric,
Thank you for your interest. At this point we have no immediate plans for adding 3D support or funnel chart type to the RadChart control but still we will forward your feedback to our developers for further consideration.
As for the looks of the control -- we are constantly trying to polish the appearance of the produced image and as a step forward for Q1 2008 we added background images out-of-the-box for some of our skins (namely Mac, Inox, Metal, Marble, and Wood skins).

Hi Telerik,
I just thought I would add my request to Eric's. I am also needing the Funnel Chart ability ASAP. 3D is also on my list. We are currently doing a re-evaluation of the tools available on the market, before renewing our subscription with Telerik.

I'll throw my name in the hat. Our applications have had some basic charting functionality up until now that RadChart has worked well for. However, we need to start adding some more sophisticated charting capabilities and the need for 3D will be at the top of the list.
That being said, the RadChart product is pretty darn good for being included amongst all the other Rad controls, so I'm not too dissapointed that I may need to look outside for more sophistication.

I'd like to add my voice to those requesting 3D charts and funnel charts. Funnel charts would be very useful as they are ideally suited to our main reporting requirements.
Is there any further information as to when we could expect either of these to be supported?

Hello Rob,
We are currently working over a WPF charting control as discussed here that will have a Funnel type among the implemented 3D series types. Our current estimation is that the first public beta will be available in the end of July, and the official release is planned for the second half of this year. Once we are ready with the WPF codebase, we are planning to port it to Silverlight so you will be able to utilize it in ASP.NET projects as well.
