Win a free PDC 2009 scholarship and more by playing with your favorite .NET controls!

Calling all Telerik enthusiasts who would like to win a FREE pass to PDC 2009 in LA and dinner with our Chief Evangelist, Todd Anglin! Good news! Telerik is sponsoring the INETA & CVC Component Code Challenge: Building .NET Applications with Reusable Components. Check out the details below…

The Challenge:

Build an application utilizing any of Telerik’s components or tools (ASP.NET AJAX, Silverlight, Winforms, WPF, Reporting, or OpenAccess ORM). Be sure to choose at least one other approved vendor to use in your application – you must use at least two different vendors to be eligible. Then, submit a 3-5 minutes video using Camtasia video explaining why your entry is the coolest by August 25th!

The Prizes:
The best two entries will win a full scholarship to PDC 2009 in Los Angeles CA. This includes air fare, hotel and conference passes.
1st & 2nd place wins the PDC scholarship and the Prize Pack provided by the sponsors.
3rd place wins an IPOD touch + Prize Pack.
Don’t worry if you don’t place 1st or second, because the Top 7 Best of Show entrants will win the Prize Pack of .NET component licenses.

The Criteria:

• Effective use of components to solve a problem or display data.
• Innovative use of components.
• Impact using the components. For example, increased productivity, reduction in code writing.
• Most creative use of a component.

To Enter:

• Review the components offered by the approved vendors and select components from at least 2 different vendors (Telerik)
• Build your application using those components.
• Make your 3 - 5 minute Camtasia video showing your entry and explaining why it is the best! You can get a free trial of Camtasia here. If you need help with Camtasia you can download a PDF or view online training.
• Zip up your movie and send it using YouSendIt Lite to codechallenge@ineta.org. Be sure to include your name, mailing address, and email address and include the names of the component vendors’ products you used in the message line.

The Deadline:

• Submission Deadline is August 25th at Midnight Eastern
• Winners will be announced September 14th 

The Best Part:

Our Chief Evangelist, Todd Anglin, will take you out to dinner at PDC 2009 and feature your app on Telerik TV and Telerik Watch! If you use Telerik controls in your application, be sure to send us your video and we will put it on our site! Then, we will award the best submission that we receive with a $50 iTunes gift card.
