R1 2022 brings to Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX SplitButton, Drag and Drop Manager, seamless integration with Web Live Preview & reporting integration demo.
Hey, developer folks! It’s Telerik R1 2022 release time and we’re excited to kick off 2022 with the introduction of SplitButton, Drag and Drop Manager, seamless integration with Web Live Preview, new demo showcase integration with Telerik Reporting, and more!
The Telerik SplitButton for ASP.NET AJAX allows the user to choose a predefined action from a dropdown list or execute a default action. It is a lightweight version of the popular RadButton with enabled SplitButton and a built-in ContextMenu holding the set of alternative button options.
A handy property for scenarios when you want to avoid multiple postbacks to the server is the SingleClick. When enabled, the RadSplitButton control will be immediately disabled after the user clicks it. You can further configure the text you want to be displayed when the button is being clicked and SingleClick is turned on.
The control has a very customizable UI and you can take advantage of a large set of predefined built-in icons or apply custom ones to the button and its context menu.
For even further customization options, the Split Button offers ContentTemplate, which allows the rendering of complex content within the Button.
With the help of the new Drag & Drop Manager for ASP.NET AJAX, you can easily add drag-and-drop functionality to any WebForms app with minimal code. The DragDropManager UI control combines the RadDraggable, RadDropTarget and RadDropTargetArea controls and simplifies declaration and reusability. The RadDraggable control enables an element to be moved by mouse or finger while the RadDropTarget & RadDropTargetArea controls help you define one or more drop areas.
The Telerik Drag and Drop component gives you complete control over the area and boundaries that an element can be moved, support for cursor offset, restriction of movements to only horizontal or vertical axes, and the option to easily show hints upon movement or drop of an element.
As a leading provider of .NET UI components, we are glad to announce that all Telerik UI libraries (Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX included) are compatible with Visual Studio 2022 since November 2021, shortly after it was released by Microsoft. You can dive into seamless development with our web components, create new projects using our project templates and built-in layouts and take advantage of the extensive Telerik UI libraries.
We have worked closely with Microsoft to ensure Day-Zero support for Web Live Preview. We are happy to provide compatibility with the Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX component suite the WLP official release, which enables real-time mapping between the source code in Visual Studio and the web app. As a developer, you no longer need to go back and forth between Visual Studio and the rendered HTML files to manually update them to see how the changes you made are reflected on the website.
We included a standalone demo showing the interaction between the RadGrid UI component and Telerik Reporting, as well as how to pass and display ASP.NET AJAX Grid data in a WebForms Report Viewer.
In the latest Telerik Document Processing distribution package in UI for ASP.NET AJAX, you will find several new document processing features: support for conditional formatting and export notes with a specific author in SpreadProcessing, as well as nested MailMerge in WordsProcessing.
We encourage you to download a trial version of Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX, or upgrade to the newest version from the “Your Account” page if you have an active license.
