In Silverlight 4 you can use PrintDocument to print easily any UIElement: …    var doc = new PrintDocument();    doc.DocumentName = YourDocumentName;    doc.PrintPage += (s, e) =>    {         e.PageVisual = YouUIElement;    };    doc.Print(); … and I’ve made an extension method that can be used to print any UIElement on multiple pages: public static void Print(this UIElement source, string documentName) { ...

RadGridView for Silverlight and WCF RIA Services Part II: Basic Editing Support

In my previous blog post I have demonstrated how to display master-details data in an asynchronous manner with RadGridView for Silverlight and WCF RIA Services. In one of my previous blog posts I have thoroughly explained How To Display Hierarchical Data with...

Several days after the post was published I received a suggestion to create another sample that will be showing Row Details in a mouse-over tooltip fashion. And guess what. Christmas came earlier this year. The full credit for coming up with this brilliant idea goes to my friend and colleague Kalin Milanov, our Front-end Developer. He decided to edit the GridViewRow ControlTemplate and removed the DetailsPresenter from the spot it usually occupies under the cells. He then placed it inside a ToolTip: 1: <ToolTipService.ToolTip> 2: <ToolTip Style="{StaticResource ToolTipStyle}" ...
