Get Started: Creating My First Working ASP.NET AJAX RadControls Application
My name is Jeffrey T. Fritz, and I am a developer who has been working with Asp.Net since the 1.0 days of 2002. I’ve built web applications of all sizes for all form factors, and included localization features in those applications. As an experienced developer, I’m also a rookie with Telerik’s ASP.Net AJAX controls. To assist other who might be in a similar situation, I’m going to write a series of posts here that share my experiences in getting started with the ASP.Net AJAX controls. I’ve primarily used the default controls that Microsoft distributes with Visual Studio, and thought to myself that using these controls would be a similar experience. You know what a service pack release is for – bug fixes of reported issues, as well as some small new features/improvements planned for the next official release that we just can’t wait to ship to you. This service pack release of the RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX is nothing different.

The Case of Telerik’s New Old ASP.NET AJAX Upload Control – RadAsyncUpload
It’s weird that RadAsyncUpload, Telerik’s next-generation ASP.NET upload control, was introduced more than 2 years ago and while its functionality is times richer than the one of RadUpload, the latter is still one of our most widely used controls and the former simply stays in the shadow. People continue recommending our older Upload control in community forums, our customers continue to use it in new projects and we just don’t get it.
