Telerik Wins the Red Herring Global 100 Award

Telerik has been named to the Red Herring Global 100 Award list.  The Global 100 is Red Herring’s list of the top 100 privately held global tech companies. This is like the Fortune 500 list but for tech. This is a huge deal, past award winners include Google, Yahoo!, Skype, Netscape, Salesforce.com, and YouTube. Telerik is an Eastern European company with headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria and the only company on the Red Herring Global 100 from the former “Soviet Block.” That the company's founders grew up under communism and last week were speaking at the Red Herring 100 award ceremony about capitalism, innovation, and technology is totally awesome. Shows you how...

    Win a pass to MIX10!

Here’s an excerpt from their site: "Considering the alarming consequences of climate changes, and the actions taken to promote and carry out environmental-saving activities worldwide, we would like to give our share and show the power that web applications have to convince, persuade, and spread the word!"   Telerik is sponsoring the contest - you can win a "Telerik Premium Collection for .NET". Unfortunately I will not be able to submit my own application  - I have the honor of being a judge in the contest - so I will have the pleasure...

    2009 in review

When you don't blog regularly, one of the biggest challenges is to find a good topic. With Twitter around, it becomes even more complicated for the people that are not regular bloggers. While I was waiting for something interesting to pop-up as a topic, 2009 almost passed and it gave me the needed opportunity. It feels as if I blinked and it's Christmas Season again.   Before I move on with my overview, on behalf of everyone at Telerik, I would like to wish you and your families a better 2010 – stay healthy, happy and lucky. Thank you for being a part of the...

Accessible RadEditor used by the Royal National Institute of Blind People

I am posting this on behalf of the editor team here at Telerik. It has been a really great experience to work with the folks at the Royal National Institute of the Blind People (RNIB) and Content and Code. The folks at RNIB helped us a lot to improve the accessible feature set of RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX and we are very happy with the results. We are proud to be the chosen component vendor for an accessible HTML editor. The required changes to the editor client code were not difficult and added the needed features for blind and partially sighted people. Some...
