Thanks for Visiting Telerik at Basta Germany

As every year Telerik sponsored the biggest .NET developer conference in Germany, BASTA. It was good to see that the number of attendees has grown again keeping us pretty busy on our booth. Considering that we got 18 products at the moment it is quite a challenge to staff the booth with people. Anyway we managed it with 3 guys plus extra support from Richard Campbell. A little surprise was that quite a lot of people were interested in our WinForms controls. So it’s not always the latest technology people are looking for, some like it mature ;-) This just further confirms the...

The LOB Chronicles Episode 7: MEF, Attributes, and Behaviors (Oh my!)

The last time we all got together was before a little conference known as Build. Everyone learned a ton of information about what is coming next in Windows 8 and the WinRT platform, but one thing stuck out for sure – Metro is in. All of the Metro style app samples in the Windows 8 Developer Preview fit pretty nicely into one of these five categories, which leads me to assert that these are the five intended...

Day 3: Can the Tablet come out and play?

Today is day 3 of running the Windows 8 Build tablet. Apparently I am the only person in Hong Kong with the Build Win8 tablet and everyone I  know in Hong Kong wants to play with it. Some Telerik customers read my blog post from yesterday and asked me if they can play with the tablet too. I set up a meeting at a local pub in Hong Kong to allow some Telerik customers to play with the tablet. So today, the tablet went into the wild. Stop 1: Starbucks I was a little early to meet our customers, so I hung out at Starbucks. Just about all of...

Hello Everyone! My name is Michael Crump, and I am the newest member of the XAML Evangelist team. I will be spreading the word about Telerik’s WP7, WPF and Silverlight controls. Even more importantly, I will be spending a lot of time working with the community and helping my fellow developer. Last week was the //Build/ conference in Anaheim, California. A lot of questions and concerns popped up all over the internet concerning...
