As one of the early proponents of RadControls support for Mono, I'm finally at a point where I have a license for the Telerik Premium Collection, and maybe some time to do some testing.

Is there any documentation for getting started with Telerik ASP.NET AJAX and Mono? Downloads? Tutorial?  I know there were demos online but http://mono.telerik.com is down at the moment.

I am currently running with .NET 3.5 but can understand if Mono is only supported for v2.0.  Would I find info about Mono in a v2.0 download?

I don't suppose there is a VMware or similar appliance anywhere with all components pre-installed for a test drive over Linux?

Really, I'm "just" looking for a complete introduction to this offering with installation info, getting started info, code samples if there are differences from Microsoft .NET and ASP.NET.  Notes about caveats, bugs, gotchas, and anything that's not yet implemented would help so that I don't bang my head against a virtual wall on something that is known to not work.  :)  I'll be happy to take scrap notes, I don't need pretty web pages...

Thanks!

Hello Tony,

I believe the online demos should be working properly - let me know if you notice any problem.
As to the appliance in question - please submit a support ticket with a reference to this thread and I will send it to you.
Unfortunately we don't have a documentation on this topic - we are working on an overview page but it is not ready yet. In the meantime, our support staff will answer your questions about Mono and RadControls.

Best regards,

http://mono.telerik.com/ is still down.
(Interestingly, clicking the link in the forum email notification first went to something called http://ironportbg/http://mono.telerik.com or something similar - obviously a bug somewhere as I know that's a subdomain of Telerik.)

I'll file a ticket and follow that process to get my hands on software and docs, but it's been something like 8 months since the functionality was first announced - I'm rather surprised this is still looking like a beta.

Thanks for the note Daniel.

Hello Tony,

mono.telerik.com is accessible now - it was running before, but it was not visible outside.

I also answered to the support ticket - I didn't noticed it at the very outset, since there was no reference to this forum thread (I asked for this in the previous post).

Best regards,
