Word counter in radeditor?

Hi, I've seen that theres some word counter and character counter on buttom left corner of radeditor on some of the samples. But seems like its not updating when Im adding some text. How can I make use of this to change when ever I enter in some text? And how can I limit the user to stop entering whenever it reaches word count limit. like for instance 50 words max..
