I figured there be an easy way to skin the start menu's little white outer frame and/or even add an exit button in that frame like office 2007. Is there a simple way this can be done because unless I can get rid of that ugly plain white space and maybe add a gradient and a button or two, the whole look of the start menu is sub-par and unappealing.

Please tell me theres hope...

blank values when combobox disabled

Could someone tell me where I could find the solution to this problem. When applying the xml stylesheet to our combobox, and the combobox is disabled, we lose visability of all of the items in that combobox. Upon using a default style, those values are visible.

RadImageButtonElement Text

Hi,

how do I word wrap the Text property of the RadImageButtonElement. I have "Work Week" as button text along with a calendar icon. Even if I resize the button, the text is not word wrapped, instead the icon disappears (it's still there but unaligned).

Appn startup time and selection of Tab Item programmatically

1.) I've been using the TabStrip of R.a.d. Controls for winforms.
The application startup time has increased since i've added a tabstrip to one of my forms.
I've just dragged the tabstrip from the toolbox and added three items to it. In addition to the tabstrip, my form has a few labels and text boxes on the form.

2.) In Designer, selected a tab and the shape property shows "TabOffice12Shape". I tried setting it to some other by selecting from the dropdown available. It works fine. If i try to change it something else, the system gets hanged on for a moment and then the visual studio gets closed. This happens if i try to change the shape for the second time. Is this not supposed to be changed more than once?

3.) How can i select an item in the tabstrip programmatically?
Is there something like RadTabStrip1.items.item(0).select() ??
How can i avoid selection of first element by default?
I want no item on tabstrip to be selected when form is loaded and the user would click on an item to select.

I'm using RadControlsWinforms_Q4_2006_SP1_trial_setup.exe.

VisualStudio2005 look and feel

I am brand new to Telerik.

I would like the DockPanel to have the look and feel of Visual Studio 2005. In particular, the pin icon, dropdown icon and close icon should look like the ones from VS 2005.

Could you please describe the steps necessary to implement that.

Pre-built themes

Hi,

Are there any ready-made themes for the Winforms controls that I could download?
None appear to have been installed with the control set, and building a complete new theme from scratch seems a little daunting.

Option Dialog

I'm trying to create an option dialog similiar to that in VS2005 or other newer applications, were there is a tree view/nodes on the left side and on the right side, there node related controls are displayed. I tried it by using a simple treeview and always recreate/hide the controls on the right side according to the selected treeview node, but I think there must be a better way. Isn't there any container controls which handles those stuff automatically?

r.a.d. Ribbonbar at MS Connect

Hi,
I would like to know, what is the status of the r.a.d.Ribbonbar control, which one can dowload at MS Connect after registering MS products. Is this a free, trial or time limited version? Or is it maybe unsupported? And what about the license or distribution?

Localization

Are there any tools within the WinForms tools to aid with localization? The only way I see to accomplish this is to cruise the controls and replace values at runtime.

Winforms License

We've purchased a single developer license of "r.a.d.controls for asp.net" with subscription in sep 2006.
"Until March winforms suite ships free with r.a.d.controls for ASP.NET"
Does this mean that we can avail a single license for winforms as well or is this offer valid for new purchases only?
