How do you make a combobox inside of a toolstrip wider with a custom theme? I got the combobox to get bigger but the textbox inside of the combobox gets clipped at whatever the default is so the text only goes halfway across the combobox. What property am I missing that I need to change in the visual style editor?

I seem to be having trouble getting ButtonElements in the RibbonBar to show tooltips.  I've ensured the ShowItemToolTips property is set to true and I've even set it explicitly in the code.  Sometimes, if I'm quick enough, I can see them when the app starts up but it goes away very quickly and doesn't come back.  I have no problem with Buttons anywhere else.

This may be simple task, but I can't feature out, how to add a DateTimePicker control to a r.a.d.ribbonbarchunk. Although the drawing cursor is displayed correctly, it actually draws nothing. If I create a r.a.d. ribbonbuttongroup on the chunk first, and then try to add the DateTimepicker to the buttongroup, the behavior is the same. Any ideas?
Thanks.

How to set width of a dock element?

I am creating docks manually.

I tried using Width, PreferredDockSize , PreferredFloatSize, and it didn't work. Docks are always created and their size is set to the half of the space of their host.

I am intersted how the scrollbars actually are getting integrated in the windows forms. unfortunately i cn not see an example or further description anywhere and this : The telerik r.a.d.hscrollbar and r.a.d.vscrollbar controls are themeable alternatives to the standard Windows Forms scroll bar controls. They allow you to include scroll bars in your applications that are consistent in look and feel with the other telerik r.a.d.controls.

does not tell me anything. so is there a way where you could make a project where you integrate the scrollbar in a for example datagridview.
that would be great and i am sure there are a lot more people out there who would appreciate it. i am developing in visual 2005 language does not matter.

thanks

The below was a suggestion from actual user of the application, regarding the hierarchical tabstrip.

I'm refering to the nested Tabstrips @ http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-gahab.aspx

The hierarchical TabStrip occupies around 10% space on my form and there are other controls which populate the data related to the selected tab.
Now consider the screenshot of the form shown in above URL.
By just looking at the Tab Structure, i cannot know which tab has been selected. "Tab1", "Tab1.3" and "Tab1.3.1" all of them have same style and look to be selected.
I was not able to identify which tab has been selected by looking at the tab structure, unless i see the data that other controls on my form have populated. It would be great if we have 3 different styles for the hierarchical tabstrip rather than 2 styles as of now.
Style1 --> Not selected  Ex: Tab2 in screenshot
Style2 --> Selected       Ex: Tab1 in screenshot
Style3 --> Current Selected Ex: A new style with brighter color(maybe a background color) for the actual selected tab.

Say, i select(Click) Tab1, Tab1 should have Style3 and all childs of Tab1 should have Style1.
If I select "Tab1.3", Tab1 should have Style2 and Tab1.3 should have Style3 and rest all of them Style1.
If I select Tab1.3.1, Tab1 and Tab1.3 should have Style2, Tab1.3.1 should have Style3 and rest all Style1.

This would help a lot in the hierarchical TabStrip to distinguish between hierarchy and the selected tab.
I was looking if telerik would release an intermediate Beta version of Q1 2007 winforms, so that i can look at hierarchical Tabstrip.

Thanks
Mukunda.

Hi,
I have a problem in using the KeyDown (but also KeyPress) event of the RadTextBox Control for WinForm. It seems that it's not raised. I see that it's used in the TextPad example of your package and also there it doesn't work (I simply put a breakpoint in QuickStartToolwindow.cs file in the searchTextBox_KeyDown event and even if I write in the searchTextBox, none breakpoint is captured).
What's wrong? Thank you for your help.
