Hi,

I was using asp.net rad controls to 2008 Q1, and then we decide to migrate to prometheus to take benefits of the new features, but since this, the control RadAjaxTimer is missing !
Where is this control ? I can't found it in the assembly Telerik.Web.UI.dll
And also not only this control is missing, AjaxLoadingPanel too

Where are they ? How to resolve the problem ?

What is the standard procedure to migrate from asp.net rad controls to prometheus ?

Regards,
Alexandre

Hi Jean-Christophe,

You are correct, the RadAjaxTimer is no longer part of the RadControls suite. This is because a Microsoft provided alternative now exists in ASP.NET AJAX. You can find all of the details you need to work with the new Timer here:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb398865.aspx

Give the Timer a try and let me know if it works for you. If it's not satisfactory, please tell us what functionality is missing so we can re-evaluate the need for a Telerik provided timer control.

Unlike your old RadAjaxTimer the asp:timer doesn't seem to have any clientside controls...!
