Hello, guys.
I've downloaded Telerik.Web.UI_2010_2_713_Dev.msi installation package and thought that now life will get much better.
Not a bit!
I uninstalled previos version of telerik ajax controls.
After installation I noticed the welcome message (something like "You hav just installed telerik...'). Toolbox looks ok.
But under Telerik menu I only can see "About" item and nothing more.
Any Telerik application templates have also disappeared.
Has anyone faced this?
With respect, Valery.

Hello Valery,
A possible reason could be if during the installation the VSExtensions fail to install properly. If you use Visual Studio 2010, you could check whether you have the extensions through Tools -> Extension Manager.
All the best,

Also this problem might have happened because the Telerik.Web.UI.VSPackage (part of the VSExtensions) failed to load properly, so could you please try the following:
- Start a Visual Studio Command Prompt (Start menu -> Microsoft Visual Studio 20xx -> Visual Studio Tools -> Visual Studio 20xx Command Prompt);
- run devenv.exe /resetskippkgs;
- Watch for a possible error during the Visual Studio startup and check the Telerik menu;
Please let me know if that helps.

Biliana

Hello, Biliana.
I'll do what you propose in about an hour.
I'm restoring controls from RadControls_for_ASP.NET_AJAX_2010_1_519_dev.msi right now.
Before I that please answer the following:
1. Do I have to unistall previos version of controls before I install newer version?
2. Do I have to reboot after installation and deinstallation of packages?
With respect, Valery.

Hello again.
RadControls_for_ASP.NET_AJAX_2010_1_519_dev.msi returned everithing back.
So I suppose there is a problem with new package installation file.

Hello Valery,
The uninstall of the previous version of the controls (in your case RadControls_for_ASP.NET_AJAX_2010_1_519_dev) is optional, not necessary. If you perform it you will have only the latest version installed. Otherwise you will be able to keep both versions and to use the one you want.
As for the reboot - during the installation all visual studio instances should be closed, if you mean reboot of the Windows - this is not necessary.
Greetings,
Biliana

Hello, again.
Ok then.
I make it working finally. I installed RadControls_for_ASP.NET_AJAX_2010_1_519_dev.msi and then Telerik.Web.UI_2010_2_713_Dev.msi over it.
This way templates and telerik menu works. None of "direct ways" doesn't make it work.
