Hi Guys,

I have Visual Studio 2010 beta 2 installed and installed the trial Telerik Rad Controls for ASP.NET.

When I create a new Telerik ASP.NET RadControl Website application, it goes through its process of setting up the project alerts me then with the Telerik project settings, I fill them in and click save. I then get the following error alert...

Compiling transformation: Invalid search path 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\mfc\lib' specified in 'LB environment variable' --'The system cannot find the path specified'
Thats correct because the folder "Microsoft Visual Studio" does not exist on my computer, i have "Microsoft Visual Studio 8", "Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0", "Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0" and none of these have a sub folder vC98

When I click ok, I then get...

Exception of type 'Telerik.VSX.T4Transform.TemplateException' was thrown.

It then basically hangs VS.

Appreciate the help.

Hi Tony Casey,

Another client experienced a similar issue. Removing the incorrect path from the environment variables fixed the issue for him.

1. Choose Start -> Control Panel -> System
2. On System Properties, choose Advanced
3. Click Environment Variables
4. Change the LIB variable in both the user and system variables list
5. Click OK and then OK.

Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you experience any further issues.

All the best,

Hi Tony,

Excuse me for being unclear.

Just remove the invalid path ('C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\mfc\lib' in your case) from it.

All the best,
