Vertical RadGrid

Hello All,

             I am using a telerik Rad Grid,i want the rad grid in a vertical direction i.e, the name of the columns must be on the left hand side and the data related to the columns must be on the right hand side.

  To do this I was using the hardcoded datatable.The data is being bind but the grid is not displayed a blank grid is being displayed.

Please suggest me the answers

Check out the following demo on displaying pivot data in the grid which demonstrates on how to transform the table rows into columns and the table columns into rows in the rendered grid, similar to your scenario .

RadPivotGrid only works with numeric data.

Im not sure about your requirement. RadPivotGrid is a data summarization control where users can break down raw data in any manner they want. A pivot table can help quickly summarize the reports and highlight the desired information. It displays data in format such as spreadsheets or business intelligence applications. I know, thats why i said "it only works with numbers". The original question was "how to show a grid vertically" and a RadPivotGrid doesn't do that.

Hi Daniel,

I am afraid that there is no built-in feature in RadGrid that can satisfy this requirement. It is designed to display columns vertically and rows horizontally, that's the classical tabular data representation and RadGrid represents it in this manner.

I've found a way to show strings into a RadPivotGrid and I've posted here. It's not elegant or simple, but it works for me.
