I want to use the RADEditor as the default rich text editor for my list objects.
I've followed the instructions given in the installtion doc(chm file) for using RADEditor for list items. But I'm not getting the RADEditor as the default rich text editor. I've tried IISRESEY as well. But no luck..
Can you please let me know where have I gone wrong?
Thanks in advance.....

Could you please go to the form where the editor should be visible and from that page, go to site settings and then site features and then check if the features are active. It is important to be on the form page with the editor, since sometimes the form is in a different site.
Next, check if the following file is present on the server: \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\CONTROLTEMPLATES\RadEditorList.ascx
If the editor features are activated successfully, the file should be there. If it is not, then the feature was not activated successfully. Check if the account you used to activate the features has administrative privileges. You need to activate the features with an administrator account .
Finally, if you still cannot see the editor, then perhaps there is something wrong with the installation. In this case I suggest that you retract and re-deploy the RadEditor solution and check the steps above.
I hope this helps.

I've followed all the steps mentioned in your aswer.
The RadEditor is successfully installed successfully. The .ascx file is also existing in the speciifed folder.
I've re-installed the RADEditor as well. But no luck.
Any suggestions?
Please open the page where RadEditor should be visible. Next open the server's event log - Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Event Viewer and choose Application. What is the thrown error?
Looking forward to hearing from you,

In addition I set the scope to use "Site" instead of "Web". I verified this by activating "RadEditor to edit List Items" and "RadEditor to edit List Items in IE as well" in the Site Features page.
I also followed the instructions on this page:
http://www.telerik.com/help/moss/editor/using%20radeditor%20in%20list%20items.html
I also verified that this file was in the appropriate folder: "RadEditorList.ascx". I also reset IIS and found 0 errors in the Event Viewer Application log when accessing the form where the Editor should exist.
I have been able to use the Rad Editor in a Web Content Management Solution.
Thoughts?
If you have changed the scope of the editor features to Site, then I assume you are activating them from the "Site Collection Features" page and not the "Site Features" page. Also, if you have multiple WFEs in your farm, verify that the RadEditorList.ascx file is present in the CONTROLTEMPLATES folder of all the WFEs.

NOTE: I want to clarify that RichHTML uses the Telerik editor just fine in Web Content Management. The problem occurs in Lists.
Also, on a seperate note, I noticed that when editing my List with the Telerik editor, the content saved in the "multiline/enhanced rich text" column type is being the following div tag: <div class="ExternalClass1D460F52254E421F86AB97C9028FEA7D">MY CONTENT HERE</div>
This extra div is forcing my copy to break on another line when it shouldn't be. After some debugging I noticed that during saving my List, you have some javascript that removes any reference to that div. Using my debugger I added some breakpoints in that function. Here I noticed that it appears to correctly strip my content of that div tag. However, after completing my save and viewing the content in my browser, the div tag is still there.
One last note, when I change column type from using "Enhanced rich text" to just "rich text", the div problem is successfully removed. In my case, the column needs to be "Enhanced" so that solution will not work.
Is this a known bug? Please advise. Thanks.
You are correct - the 4.x version of the RadEditor for MOSS does not override the RichHtml rendering template - only the RichText one.
As for the extra <div> element - it seems to be a MOSS issue. We found that MOSS adds an extra element each time you save the content of a list element using the enhanced rich text column - e.g. if you edit the list item three times, you will have three nested <div> elements. We remove all these elements before the content is saved, but some MOSS code is executed after that and it adds a new <div> wrapper element. Unfortunately, until now we have not found a way to prevent this.

Do you know when this issue (RadEditor not working on RichHtml in Lists) will be resolved ? I'm still experiencing the problem...
Thanks a lot,
Nicolas
The issue has already been resolved in the 5.x version of the RadEditor for MOSS. We now override both the RichHtmlField and RichTextField rendering templates. To enable/disable each template you just have to go to the Site Settings page and enable/disable the appropriate feature.

Correctly at this point the latest version of the Lite version of RadEditor for MOSS is 4.5.6. So there is no Lite version, which has this issue resolved.

Make sure that you are logged as administrator user when you activate the feature for the first time. This is required, because the editor needs to update the default list editing template by copying a file - from \TEMPLATE\FEATURES\RadEditorFeature\RadEditorList.ascx to \TEMPLATE\CONTROLTEMPLATES\RadEditorList.ascx.

RAD Editor Lite 4.5.6 is based on the classic ASP.NET RadEditor. It does not require extending your MOSS site with ASP.NET AJAX. RadEditor for MOSS 5.x is based on the latest ASP.NET AJAX version of RadEditor, so it requires the MOSS site to be AJAXified.
