Hello!

When uploading an image using ImageManager on the editor I am getting "C:\fakepath\imagename.jpg" as the file path. "fakepath" being the bit I am emphasising.

It also does this on your demo's page "http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/default/defaultcs.aspx".

Is this a bug, or is this a setting I need to change?

The image uploads fine.

Thanks

Hi Paul Clark,

Definitely, this is not a bug, neither it is a feature of RadControls. Thanks to new security features in IE 8 the file upload will not report the real file path to the control unless you add the page to the trusted site collection of Internet Explorer. Instead the “c:\fakepath” is shown to the JavaScript that handles the file upload information.

Do you know is there any other way round it? or is adding the site to trusted sites the only way?

Thanks

Hello Paul Clark,

This is part of the specification of HTML5, and as it is already implemented in IE, we cannot provide you with a solution for this. Again - this is a security measure, and this is why there is not a workaround.
