I really like the new image editor in the image manager.  Is there a way to use this independent of the radedit control?  I have lots of places where it would be ideal to check the dimensions of an uploaded image and then push them to the image editor if it is not the proper porportions.   Maybe this is really simple and I'm missing something, but it seems like this is currently embedded into the editor where it would be great to use with the upload also.

Hi Chris,

You are correct that currently the Image Editor is tied to the RadEditor.  I have pointed out to Telerik that when the Image Manager is used outside of the context of a RadEditor that the Image Editor does not work.  I'm fairly certain that the SP1 release in a couple of weeks is supposed to allow the Image Editor to work without being called by an editor.  I'm not sure if that means the Image Editor will work without being called by an Image Manager though.

In any case, the Image Manager, when used on its own, provides good functionality for uploading with the added benefit of being able to browse / delete images (which is good when the Image Editor is able to save multiple copies of images).  Hope that helps,

Shaun.
