When opening VS 2008 with the new release I'm occasionally getting this exception:

Unhandled Exception at
Telerik.VSX.AssemblyDiscovery.AssemblyLister.Init
Telerik.VSX.Helpers.UpdateChecker.VersionAvailabilityGetter_Complete
Telerik.VSX.LatestVersionPRocessing.BaseMonitoredProcess`1.DoAsyncJobAndRaiseCompleteEvent
System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart_Context
System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run
System.Threading.TheradHelper.ThreadStart

After one or two restarts it goes away.

Hello Jason Peterson,

We have identified the cause for the issue you are experiencing. It had already been addressed and the fix will be available in the next official release. The issue rarely manifests and should not obstruct your work.

A sticky post on how to completely resolve the issue with our existing release will soon be available.

Sincerely yours,
Andrey

Hello there,

I'm getting this rather frequently, possibly after each reboot.  At any rate, I'd be interested in the fix if you end up posting it?

Thanks

Hello Jason Peterson,

The post containing the fix is already available:
Unhandled exception at "Telerik.VSX.AssemblyDiscovery.AssemblyLister.Init"

Also, if you are interested, a Latest Internal Build with the fix applied is already available for download.

All the best,
Andrey
