We are using the version 7.3.4.0 of RadEditor.Net2.
When the page is loading, the Editor is shown, but after 2 seconds the toolbar of the editor disapears and IE is taking more than 50% of CPU usage.

Thanks for the help in advance :)

Hi Michael,

I tried to reproduce the problem with RadEditor Classic 7.3.4 and 7.3.5 but to no avail. Are you able to reproduce the problem with the Default Example of RadEditor Classic?

My recommendation is to also migrate to the latest Q2 2009 build of RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX, which offers full support for IE8 and offers multiple new features, tools and bug fixes. The new editor loads faster than its predecessor and is more suitable for multiple editors scenario. You can test RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX here.

If you cannot upgrade at this stage and the toolbar problem exists only in your project, but not in the demo, then please isolate the issue in a sample working project and send it for examination by opening a support ticket.

Kind regards,

I am seeing the same issue, using 7.3.3. Is the only resolution to this to upgrade to a later version of the editor? Michael, did you get anywhere w/ this? It seems to hang on localization.aspx and/or XhtmlValidator.aspx

Hi Chris,

We are still unable to reproduce this problem.

If the problem is reproducible even with the latest official build of RadEditor Classic then it will be better to directly migrate to RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX 7.3.7. Just open a support ticket and I will send you the latest RadEditor Classic build.

Note that the development of RadEditor for ASP.NET Classic is discontinued more than 2 years ago and fixes for it are provided rarely. That is why we strongly recommend migration to the new and much enhanced RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX. Migration instructions are available here.

Best regards,
