I have a RadScheduler control which is used in timeline mode. Because I have to get my data from a non standard datasource, i have to add my resources and appointments manually rather than binding to a data source.

When I have added my resources and configured all the appointments to be allocated to a resource (or vice versa) I then add the appointment to the controil using Shecdule.InsertAppointment. None of my appointments are all day events and have start times and end times, the earliest and latest of which are 8am and 6pm respectively.

However, when I run my page, my appointments appear correctly against the correct resource, but they span over 2 days.
For instance, an appointment which starts at 8am and finished on the same day at 6pm shows in the time line as starting of one day, and ending at the end of the next day. Does anyone know why this would be happening?

The image attached shows three appointments like this that occur on successive days.

Thanks,
Karl

Hello Karl,

Thank you for contacting Telerik support.

If you want your appointments to situate more precise in the time slots we recommend using ExactTimeRendering as it is done in this on-line demo.

Hope this will be helpful. If you have further questions I will be glad to assist you again.

Its not that I want them to be more precise, I just want them to start and end in the same day that they're on. The view I'm experiencing suggests the appointment is for 2 days, where as it starts and ends on the same day.

I looked at the suggested ExactTimeRendering, and while the appointment no longer spanned 2 days, it now only displays for the hours the appointment is for rather than the whole day( which is what I'd like to show). The system being developed is an event planner, so 1/2 hour meetings etc aren't required but one day blocks are. Is there an all day event flag I can set on the appointment that would render it as I need?

Hello Karl,

Thank you for getting back to us.

The behavior you are observing (without setting the exact time rendering) is quite unusual indeed and unfortunately I was not able to reproduce it locally or in our on-line demo. Here is a video of my test.
Would you please review it and let me know what else should be done in order to observe the unusual appointment rendering and be more helpful with a solution?

Kind regards,
