[Solved] Template files not displaying in Telerik menu after latest upgrade

Hi--

I'm running VS2008 and I just updated to the latest telerik controls released yesterday.

Since then, in the Telerik menu of VS, the template options are not listed--i.e. for the login page.

The only option in the Telerik menu is "About".

The controls themselves, in the toolbox, work fine. I have tried reinstalling to now avail.

Any thoughts?

UPDATE:
I've uninstalled and reinstalled controls for ASP.NET to no avail.

I've then reinstalled VS2008, and tryied installing Silverlight controls and ASP.NET controls.

Now, VS shows the option of creating a Sliverlight project in the Telerik menu, but still not (as it used to) ASP project.

I am really sorry for the troubles you've got. To my regret I have not been able to reproduce the described issue. The problem suggests that the package containing our menus has failed to load.

To check if it is deployed properly you should:

1. Start the regedit utility (access Start Menu -> Run.. and type "regedit" in the field)
2. Navigate to the following key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0\Packages\{057d8865-d4bb-46e8-b71e-e24fed08f4b9} for 32 bit operating systems or
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0\Packages\{057d8865-d4bb-46e8-b71e-e24fed08f4b9} for 64 bit operating systems
3. Check if the file described by the key's CodeBase value exists

If it is not deployed properly, the installation of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX has not completed successfully or the Visual Studio Extensions feature is not selected.
