Hi,

I have checked the paste functionalities in your demo webforms editor page: https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx

However, I don't see there's a Paste from PDF functionality. It would be great if you can treat this as a feature request for your webforms editor.

Hi Sergey,

RadEditor processes pasted content based on what the browser provides from the clipboard. When you copy from a PDF file, the formatting retained depends on the browser’s clipboard handling capabilities. If certain styles or structures are lost, this is a browser behavior rather than an issue with RadEditor.

For example, when pasting from Word, RadEditor automatically removes invalid Word-specific formatting (such as mso- styles) to ensure cleaner and more consistent HTML output. Similarly, when pasting from a PDF, the formatting that appears in RadEditor depends entirely on what the browser extracts and provides from the clipboard. RadEditor does not have direct access to the original PDF file, as this would pose a security risk and is restricted by browser security policies.

If you are looking for a dedicated "Paste from PDF" feature that attempts to retain more formatting, this would be a feature request for enhanced content parsing in RadEditor. Could you specify what specific formatting issues you are encountering, so we can better understand your needs?

Regards,
Rumen
