Just updated to Q3 2009 version 2009.3.1103.35

The menu system seems to work differently when you open a website as a Local IIS website in VS 2008. You only have the Template options not the upgrade option and the ToolBox doesn't have the Telerik ASP.Net 3.5 Tab like I get when I open the same website by browsing to the folder. From the folder website I also have the upgrade wizard etc. It looks as the blog post about the Telerik menu says it should.

When I add a tab and select the items in the Telerik.Web.UI.dll they are not added to the tab.

So I seem to be left with either using the file system website in VS 2008 or not having the Telerik Toolbar. I can do most of my development as a file system, but sometimes need to run as Local IIS for debugging purposes.

Should it be working this way for a IIS project vs a file system project?

Hi Randy,

In addition to the The items under the Telerik > RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX menu depend on the active item in the Solution Explorer. Can you please, click the website and check if you don't get the entire menu?

Kind regards,

I had seen it highlighted by default yesterday, however if I explicitly select it then the menu is correct.

There still isn't any toolbox in the IIS website, while there is in the folder website. I thought I would be able to run the upgrade to correct that, but it looks like if it is already upgraded then it doesn't allow it to correct the ToolBox tab. I can right click in the general tab or a new tab select choose items and select the telerik.web.ui items or browse to the telerik.web.ui.dll, but no items are added. The folder based website has the toolbox.

Hi Randy,

Sorry for missing that part of your question, can you try right-clicking the toolbox and clicking Refresh? Can you open a formal support ticket and send me your website to check?

I'm testing a small website now, but I am not able to reproduce the problem...

Best,
