Hi,

We have our web application hosted on a shared server and have managed to get the hosting company to install the Radupload.DLL files into the GAC. Now when we try to upload a file, we can see the progress bar, however once it reaches the end of the progress bar, we are getting the following error. Do we need to apply any particular permissions on the dll once it has been installed on the GAC? the actual line of code that it is failing on is FilesSuccessResults.DataBind(). Where FilesSuccessResults is a repeater control listing out the file that has been uploaded.

System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Property accessor 'FileName' on object 'Telerik.WebControls.RadUploadUtils.RadUploadFile' threw the following exception:'Telerik.WebControls.RadUploadUtils.RadUploadFile.get_FileName()' ---> System.MethodAccessException: Telerik.WebControls.RadUploadUtils.RadUploadFile.get_FileName() ---> System.Security.SecurityException: Request failed. at System.Security.CodeAccessSecurityEngine.ThrowSecurityException(Assembly asm, PermissionSet granted, PermissionSet refused, RuntimeMethodHandle rmh, SecurityAction action, Object demand, IPermission permThatFailed) at System.Security.CodeAccessSecurityEngine.ThrowSecurityException(Object assemblyOrString, PermissionSet granted, PermissionSet refused, RuntimeMethodHandle rmh, SecurityAction action, Object demand, IPermission permThatFailed) at System.Security.CodeAccessSecurityEngine.CheckSetHelper(PermissionSet grants, PermissionSet refused, PermissionSet demands, RuntimeMethodHandle rmh, Object assemblyOrString, SecurityAction action, Boolean throwException) at System.Security.PermissionSetTriple.CheckSetDemand(PermissionSet demandSet, PermissionSet& alteredDemandset, RuntimeMethodHandle rmh) at System.Security.PermissionListSet.CheckSetDemand(PermissionSet pset, RuntimeMethodHandle rmh) at System.Security.PermissionListSet.DemandFlagsOrGrantSet(Int32 flags, PermissionSet grantSet) at System.Threading.CompressedStack.DemandFlagsOrGrantSet(Int32 flags, PermissionSet grantSet) at System.Security.CodeAccessSecurityEngine.ReflectionTargetDemandHelper(Int32 permission, PermissionSet targetGrant, CompressedStack securityContext) at System.Security.CodeAccessSecurityEngine.ReflectionTargetDemandHelper(Int32 permission, PermissionSet targetGrant) The action that failed was: Demand The type of the first permission that failed was: System.Security.PermissionSet --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Reflection.MethodBase.PerformSecurityCheck(Object obj, RuntimeMethodHandle method, IntPtr parent, UInt32 invocationFlags) at System.Reflection.RuntimeMethodInfo.Invoke(Object obj, BindingFlags invokeAttr, Binder binder, Object[] parameters, CultureInfo culture, Boolean skipVisibilityChecks) at System.Reflection.RuntimeMethodInfo.Invoke(Object obj, BindingFlags invokeAttr, Binder binder, Object[] parameters, CultureInfo culture) at System.ComponentModel.ReflectPropertyDescriptor.GetValue(Object component) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.ComponentModel.ReflectPropertyDescriptor.GetValue(Object component) at System.Web.UI.DataBinder.GetPropertyValue(Object container, String propName) at System.Web.UI.DataBinder.Eval(Object container, String[] expressionParts) at System.Web.UI.DataBinder.Eval(Object container, String expression) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.Eval(String expression) at ASP.promoitemedit_aspx.__DataBind__control6(Object sender, EventArgs e) in e:\inetpub\vs156194\milieextranet\PromoItemEdit.aspx:line 98 at System.Web.UI.Control.OnDataBinding(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind(Boolean raiseOnDataBinding) at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind() at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBindChildren() at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind(Boolean raiseOnDataBinding) at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind() at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Repeater.CreateItem(Int32 itemIndex, ListItemType itemType, Boolean dataBind, Object dataItem) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Repeater.CreateControlHierarchy(Boolean useDataSource) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Repeater.OnDataBinding(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Repeater.DataBind() at MilieExtranetUI.PromoItemEdit.BindResults(UPLOAD_STATUS bSuccess) in C:\SVN\LMG\Millie\trunk\Code\MillieExtraNet\MillieExtraNet\PromoItemEdit.aspx.vb:line 994 at MilieExtranetUI.PromoItemEdit.btnUpload_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) in C:\SVN\LMG\Millie\trunk\Code\MillieExtraNet\MillieExtraNet\PromoItemEdit.aspx.vb:line 1089

Hello Stevey,

Please check if your hosting uses some modified medium trust configurations, with any reflection limitations.

In addition, it seems you are using the 'Classic' version of RadUpload for ASP.NET. Could you please specify the exact version of the used RadUpload assembly?

Regards,
Paul
